How would my puppy get to me?

 

Here are our delivery methods:

 

1. Meet Us! ( $200 max ): If you are in or able to come to the area we would be happy to meet you in a convenient location for both of us within two hours of our home, including MCI Airport in Kansas City, and DSM in Des Moines! This fee is to cover our time and travel to the destination. We always enjoy meeting the new owners in person as well!

 

2. Flight Nanny ( $850 - $1300 ): Availability can vary depending on the puppy's weight. The sooner this is scheduled, the better chance of it being an option! We do occasionally fly puppies to destinations across the US using a flight nanny service.  We have utilized a pet flight professional for over 20 years who puts together an anxiety-free itinerary for your puppy to travel, and they can meet you right at your local airport! (this service is heavily dependent on the schedule of the flight nanny.)

Can I pick up my puppy in person if I come to you?

​

Yes! If you are in or able to come to the area we would be happy to meet you either at our home or in a convenient location within two hours of our home, including MCI Airport in Kansas City or DSM in Des Moines! This fee is a $200 maximum or $50/hour from our home. We always enjoy meeting the new families in person as well!

How much does it cost to reserve a puppy?

​

We charge a $500, nonrefundable deposit to reserve a puppy for you. This deposit is typically made via PayPal, and guarantees that your puppy will be held under your name until you are able to pick him/her up!

What are your requirements for new owners?

​

We prefer to send puppies to homes where the new owners have previous experience with pets, preferably dogs, and have ample space in their home and/or neighborhood for the puppies to play after they've grown. If you have no prior pet experience but are willing to learn, we are happy to help you out with a few tips and tricks to get started on the right foot. Raising a puppy is a large but equally rewarding responsibility!

Are the parents and puppies health tested?

​

Yes! We test all of our adults using the Embark Dog DNA Tests to ensure that their genetics being passed onto each of our puppies show a clean bill of health! Our puppies are also taken to our veterinarian multiple times before they make the final trip to their forever home to be sure they're in great health! Definitely check our our Health Guarantee, also if you have the chance!

Is Drover's Hill a puppy mill???

Nope, not at all! We are so small that we're able to fully focus on providing our pets with a loving, comfortable, and truly healthy lifestyle. Any of our pets either live with us at home or live nearby with a trusted friend! We are intentionally small so we can easily guarantee the happiness and health of all our pets!
